Prophecy of Vyrdanor Saga (EOSR & EOTP)

Dark content level 4 of 5

Author’s note

Welcome to Vyrdanor—where the divine are real, the magic is dangerous, and peace is always temporary.

The Prophecy of Vyrdanor is a sweeping epic—part romance, part tragedy, part political reckoning. It follows not only chosen heroes and their lovers, but those who live in their shadows. Along the way, you will encounter themes both beautiful and brutal.

This is not a gentle story.

Though love pulses through its veins, so too does cruelty. Within these pages and the ones to follow, kingdoms rise and fall. Children are born with divine purpose—or cursed fates. Friendships are forged and fractured beneath the weight of lies, and desire can heal... or destroy.

You will walk through halls where alliances are sealed in blood and broken with a touch. You will meet warriors who cannot save everyone, lovers who choose wrong, and rulers who would rather burn the world than lose their crown—or their ideals.

Torture lives in the silence between pleas. Betrayal hides behind polished smiles. Marriage vows are forced in the name of peace. There is violence where there should have been safety, manipulation disguised as protection, and infidelity cloaked in both unthwarted lust and desperate longing.

The divine interfere. The bold defy them. And bodies—sometimes broken, sometimes sacred—become vessels of both love and trauma.

You’ll find coming-of-age arcs, explorations of sexual identity, fertility and childbirth, and moments that challenge the comfort of tradition. Violence will not always be swift, nor sex always soft.

Some characters will die. Others will wish they had.

If you have come for light—know it shines brightest in contrast to shadow.

If you have come for truth—prepare to face it with trembling hands.

And if you have come for love—expect to fight and bleed for it.

Some parts may make you swoon. Others may make you rage. I hope all of them make you feel.

This is not a fairytale. This is Vyrdanor.

And the prophecy waits for no one.

With love and fire, Maelana

Roll For Love Trilogy

Dark content level 1 of 5

Author’s note

Before you dive into Roll For Love: Initiative and the rest of the trilogy, I want to offer a quick note about what you’ll find inside this story—and what might come with it.

This book is a love letter to found family, slow-burn chaos, emotional honesty, and that strange magic that happens when five broken people accidentally become a home.

It’s also a why choose romance—meaning no one has to pick just one partner, and no one gets left behind. But it’s not just about a woman loved by multiple men. Some of these men love each other, too. This isn’t a traditional reverse harem. It’s a web, not a line. It’s about connection in every direction, and what it means to share love without scarcity.

That said, this story doesn’t shy away from the messy parts. Our female main character lives with Type I diabetes, and her journey includes medically accurate details about insulin pumps, blood sugar crashes, and the harsh reality of insurance access in the U.S. You’ll also find themes of family rejection, housing insecurity, trauma healing, and learning to trust again—both yourself and others.

On the spice front: yes, it’s open-door. As the series progresses, so does the intimacy. Expect kink-affirming dynamics, praise, power play, and emotionally grounded group scenes—with clear consent and communication (and plenty of chaos).

If you're sensitive to any of the following, please take care of yourself as you read:

  • Chronic Illness / Type I Diabetes (including medical emergencies, insulin pump use, CGM alarms, hypoglycemia, and DKA)
  • Neurodivergence and mental health struggles
  • Medical financial stress / healthcare insecurity
  • Touch starvation, loneliness, and emotional trauma
  • Toxic relationship fallout and past emotional and physical abuse
  • Houselessness risk / sudden eviction
  • Dysfunctional family dynamics and social rejection
  • Sexual Coercion
  • Homophobia / Queerphobia
  • Religious Trauma
  • Graphic, on-page, sexually explicit content including kink, voyeurism, group scenes, and consensual D/s dynamics
  • References to and use of alcohol, nicotine, and marijuana
  • Profanity
Dungeons & Dragons Disclaimer

While Dungeons & Dragons is woven deeply into this story, a few creative liberties were taken along the way. Each book, in its pre-edited entirety, was alpha-read by several experienced players, and each game scene was reviewed by long-time players and Dungeon Masters in my own circle.

That being said… in this fictional house we use table rules, we don’t always stay in character, and the moments you’re reading are only small shards of much larger, much messier campaigns. I did my best to honor the spirit of the game—but for the sake of pacing, storytelling, and emotional rhythm, some things bend, some things blur, and some things are just theirs.

This is a story about choosing softness even when you’ve been hardened by life. It’s messy, a little nerdy, and deeply intimate—not just sexually, but emotionally.

Thank you for being here. I hope you fall for these characters the way I did—slowly, completely, and with your whole heart.

♥ —Maelana

Neurodivergent representation

This series proudly features representation of neurodivergent characters. With personal experience with ASD and ADHD, along with clinical knowledge, I aim to portray these characters authentically. It's important to remember that neurodivergence exists on a spectrum and looks different for everyone. Nothing written or implied is intended as a blanket statement or generalization of any member of the neurodivergent community.

Additional Note on Advantage

This book includes a brief scene involving sexual intimidation and coercive behavior that was not present in Initiative and therefore not included in the author's note or content warnings for Book One. This behavior comes from someone outside the polycule and is neither condoned nor minimized within the story.

As always, your well-being matters more than finishing a chapter. Please read gently.

Additional Note on End Game

This book includes religious trauma, spiritual abuse, familial rejection, disownment, brief mention of conversion therapy, and religiously motivated emotional abuse that was not present in Initiative or Advantage and therefore not included in the author's note or content warnings for Books One or Two. This is contained to one chapter, and that chapter is 42.

As always, your well-being matters more than finishing a chapter. Please read gently.

A Veil of Execration

Dark content level 5 of 5

Author’s note

Dear Not-So-Gentle Reader,

First, let me thank you for picking up A Veil of Execration. I hope you brought a stiff drink, a rosary, and maybe a therapist on retainer. Because this isn’t a sweet love story with hand-holding and picnics. This is the kind of book where the picnic basket contains zip ties, the wine is laced with menace, and the blanket is already stained with blood.

Leon is not a cinnamon roll. He’s not even a burnt croissant. He’s arsenic wrapped in French leather with a gun tucked into his belt and a knife under your pillow. And Savannah? She probably should run, but instead she trips, moans, and thanks him for chaining her to the altar.

So, before you wander in unsuspecting, here’s your menu of depravity (also known as content warnings):

  • Graphic death, murder, and violence (artistic blood-splatter included)
  • Unnegotiated D/s dynamic (no contracts, no safewords, just Leon being Leon)
  • A sizeable age gap (38/22, or as Leon would say: “old enough to be man enough for her”)
  • Edge play & primal play (if you don’t know, you’ll learn)
  • Blood play, knife play, gun play (basically if it cuts, bleeds, or goes bang, Leon thinks it’s a sex toy)
  • Orgasm control (she begs, he denies, everyone suffers beautifully)
  • Breeding kink (with a side of birth control tampering)
  • Stalking (the obsessive, obsessive kind—he’s basically her personal shadow with a murder habit)
  • And probably a few other sins I forgot to confess

If any of the above makes you clutch your pearls, consider this your polite exit. If instead you need to make sure your battery-operated boyfriend is charged before turning the next page—welcome home.

With blood, wine, and at least a little French profanity,

Maelana ~ Stay Naughty

Sweet Surrender · Book OneThe Dawn of UsMaelana Nightingale

Sweet Surrender Saga

Author’s Note For The Entire Saga

The Sweet Surrender saga delves into the wide, nuanced spectrum of Dominant/submissive relationships—including varying levels of consensual power exchange, sadomasochism, and hierarchical polyamory. These stories span a diverse range of kinks, sexualities, and relational structures, reflecting the many beautiful ways people lead, surrender, connect, and love.

In both fiction and real life, no single story can capture the full breadth of BDSM or D/s experiences—nor can it fully encompass the emotional, physical, and psychological depth these dynamics can offer. My intent is not to define the lifestyle, but to honor it through emotionally grounded, character-driven storytelling.

While I strive for authenticity and realism, these books are not meant to represent the entirety of the kink, BDSM, or ENM communities. I work closely with authenticity and sensitivity readers during the alpha stage to ensure these portrayals remain respectful and informed.

At times, you’ll see characters express that certain kinks or practices aren’t for them. This is not kink-shaming—just a reflection of the real and necessary diversity of boundaries, comfort levels, and preferences within the lifestyle. Often, my characters evolve and clarify their views as their stories unfold.

I’m a passionate supporter of kink-affirming, sex-positive communities, and I hope that care and reverence is felt in every word of this series. If you’re curious about any of the dynamics featured, you can find additional resources and context on my website.

With Love and Consent Always,

Maelana
